When you live in a house with 3 kids there are bound to be “boo boos”. Most of the time they are minor bumps, cuts, or scraps and do not require a trip to the emergency room. However, they are still a big deal to my kids, and minor issues should still be treated to prevent infection.
Of course using any type of medicine that burns is out of the question for my guys. The first thing my kids will ask me when I am administering First Aid is, “Will it burn?”.
In June my family went on a summer vacation and thanks to Puracyn, I had a preventive First Aid Kit to bring along for any potential boo boos.
Puracyn OTC Wound & Skin Care is a unique, patented solution of electrochemically treated saline for cleaning and healing wounds, including cuts, abrasions, irritations and lacerations. The solution mimics compounds naturally produced by the body, making it an ideal aid in wound cleaning and healing.
The formula is non-irritating, non-toxic and non-sensitizing as well as safe, effective and easy to apply in first aid situations. It does not contain antibiotics, steroids or alcohol and no prescription is required.
Of course, the second night at the hotel, my daughter managed to get a little scrap on the back of her leg. I sprayed it with Puracyn to clean the wound, and then applied a bandage.
There was no need for water to clean it, and there was no screaming. My daughter’s scrap healed fine after few days.
The next day, we would be heading over to the Kennedy Space Center, so I took the kit along the with us just in case. Thankfully there were no other incidents.
This trip would be a filled with “Summer Firsts” for all of us and we even got to touch a Moon Rock during our first trip to the Kennedy Space Center!
