Weekends are busy for my family and sometimes I am working up to the last minute to plan for the next school week. This makes it tough to get ready for a televised FOOTBALL GAME, but thankfully Sam’s Club has a way to make meal preparation easier.
Not to mention, it gave me plenty of time to put together a SUPER fun Football Table Game for my family.
While shopping at Sam’s Club for items for my kid’s lunches, I decided to pick up a $13.98 Family Pizza Combo from the cafe on the way out.
This meal includes a 16 Inch Pizza with your choice of toppings, Cheesy Breadsticks with marinara, and 6 Chocolate Chunk Cookies as well as (1) 2 Liter Bottle of Coca-Cola.
In club, I also grabbed a 2 Liter 4-Pack of Coco-Cola products for the BIG GAME. These would actually come in handy later in the evening.
The Sam’s Club Pizza and bread sticks were delicious and those cookies tasted amazing. This was an excellent amount of food for my family of 5.
Not having to worry about dinner was so nice and my biggest meal concern was who would get the last cookie.
As for the Football Table Game, like I mentioned previously having those extra Coca-Colas worked out great. I would be using the cap from our Family Pizza Combo Coca-Cola, so I would need a couple extra bases for the goal post.
To set up the Football Table Game, I first printed the form above on the 8×10 setting. I have a link to it for your convenience Football Table Game Sheet.
I then cut along the dotted line and taped the center to the 2 – 2 Liter Coca-Cola Products. I figure once the adults drink the Coca-Cola, we can fill them up with water to be used for future games.
Next, I numbered 9 oz cups 1-10 behind the goal in rows of 3 and 2. I taped those down on the table cloth and then we were ready to play.
Tip: I started the rows about 7 inches back from the bottles.
How To Play:
The rules are pretty simple, have each player take 5 turns tossing the bottle top.
I suggest doing so lightly, and if a player misses that turn is a (O) zero.
The object of the game is to land in the highest numbers to get the most number of points. To finish, tally the scores and see who WINS!
Not only is this a fun competition for adults, but it is a great way to teach addition to children. The game pieces are also reusable, so I am all ready for the next family get together.
Do you have any fun activities planned for the BIG GAME? What foods do you serve to Make Game Night Easier?

I hope your family gets just as much of enjoyment out of the meal and game as ours did.
