As part of a Campaign through BzzAgent, I am participating in the Silk 10 Day Challenge.
I was provided two coupons for FREE product and 5 – $1.00 off coupons through the BzzAgent program. I used my coupons for free product to purchase the Silk Almond Milk and the Vanilla Silk Soy Milk. And, I shared a few of my coupons with a friend who is a regular buyer of Silk.
As part of the challenge, I have been substituting in Silk Productsfor things that I would normally use regular milk in. I have been putting it into my coffee and my kids cereal/ sippys for the past 5 days.My son and I like the Vanilla Silk. I can’t really tell the difference in my coffee, but when I drink it plain, it tastes sweeter than regular milk. My daughter likes both the Almond and the Vanilla. The Almond definitely is an acquired taste, and it adds a nutty flavor to my coffee. I would not drink it plain, but would consider cooking with it.
Overall I am pleased with the Silk products because they are cholesterol free and based on the 2 products I tried, they are lower in calories compare to the 2% milk I have in my refrigerator. Vanilla Silk is 100 Calories per cup, Almond Milk is 60 Calories per cup, and store brand 2% milk is 130 Calories per cup.
